UKTV, the UK's biggest multichannel broadcaster, today announced its top rating show of 2015 has been greenlit to full series as it continues to expand its slate of original commissions.

Leading entertainment channel Dave has ordered five episodes of Celebrity Storage Hunters (5x60') fronted by auctioneer Sean Kelly, following the success of a one-off Christmas Celebrity Special. The special was Dave and UKTV's most popular show of 2015 with a million viewers tuning in to watch famous faces including Shaun Ryder, Bez, Bob Mortimer, Lizzie Roper and Ross Noble compete to win the most money for their chosen charity.

Helen Nightingale, executive producer, UKTV said,

Storage Hunters UK is a winning combination of fierce competition and fast-paced action. Add famous faces to the mix and you get a whole new dynamic of rivalry.

Steve North, Dave general manager, said,

I am delighted that North One and Sean Kelly will be bringing a full series of Celebrity Storage Hunters to the channel. Dave viewers love Storage Hunters and this enables us to bring in top comedy talent too. Combined with the UK version of Storage Hunters, which is now in its fifth series, with more to follow in the autumn we have some great new shows lined up for Storage Hunters fans."

Sean Doherty, North One executive producer and series director, said,

The Christmas special was even better than we could have hoped, with the celebrities really getting into the Storage Hunters spirit. We've got some fantastic guests to make sure this full series will be really memorable.

Celebrity Storage Hunters is ordered by Steve North and director of commissioning Richard Watsham, and executive produced for UKTV by Helen Nightingale. Executive producers for North One are John Quinn and Sean Doherty, while Doherty is also series director. Storage Hunters UK: Celebrity Special has been watched by 2.79m viewers since its premiere. Award-winning Storage Hunters UK is a UKTV Original for Dave based on the US format Storage Hunters and is now in its fifth series.
