Resurrection Returns To Watch For a Second Series

Resurrection Season 2

UKTV's flagship pay entertainment channel, Watch, exclusively premieres the second thrilling season of ABC Studios' drama, Resurrection, from Thursday 19th March, 2015.

Developed by Aaron Zelman (Damages, The Killing,) Resurrection returns to Watch following its launch last year on the channel, where it attracted on average 466K viewers, peaking at over half a million.

Starring Omar Epps (House), Frances Fisher (Titanic), Mark Hildreth (The Tudors) and Samaire Armstrong (Entourage, The O.C.), it follows the spine-tingling story of a community from the small town of Arcadia in Missouri, whose lives are changed forever when their deceased loved ones suddenly start to reappear.

In season one Jacob, an eight-year-old American boy wakes up alone in a rice paddy in a rural Chinese province with no idea how he got there. He recalls that his hometown is Arcadia, and with the help of immigration agent J. Martin Bellamy, he returns to an elderly couple called Henry and Lucille, who he recognises as his mother and father. He can reveal and remember secrets surrounding the death of their son Jacob, who drowned more than 30 years ago.

Season two returns to the mysterious small town and begins with agent J. Martin Bellamy waking alone and abandoned at Arcadia's outskirts, missing a week of his life. As his memory returns, he has a shocking revelation. Meanwhile, Arcadia welcomes one more returned, Margaret Langston (guest star Michelle Fairley of Game of Thrones fame), the powerful matriarch of the Langston family who has been dead for over three decades. She holds the key to a dark secret that will have consequences for the entire town. The launch of Resurrection comes hot off the heels of Watch premiering Crisis, starring Gillian Anderson. Hit US drama Grimm returns to Watch Wednesday 28 January and season two of The Strain will return later in 2015.

Resurrection is produced by ABC Studios. Aaron Zelman, Michele Fazekas, and Tara Butters are executive producers. Christopher Misiano is executive producer and director. Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner are executive producers for Plan B and Jon Liebman is executive producer for Brillstein Entertainment.
