Sam Tewungwa

Sam holds a dual role as Managing Director, UKTV and President, UK Region, BBC Studios, reporting to CEO Marcus Arthur. He is responsible for leading UKTV's long-term company transformation as well as digital, commercial, strategy & corporate development, alongside BBC Studios UK Distribution.

Before being promoted, Sam was Chief Commercial Officer at UKTV and Director of Content Sales, BBC Studios UK and Ireland. Prior to BBC Studios, Sam held roles in channels, pay TV platforms and consulting. He has worked in content acquisition at Virgin Media and before that at Viacom International Media Networks in strategy, affiliate and digital sales and business development. He began his career in strategy consulting with Arthur Andersen, followed by the industry Regulator, before moving to a commercial role at BSkyB. Sam holds a chemistry degree from Oxford University and an Executive MBA from London Business School.
