Dave gets the key to Pawnee as Parks and Recreation comes to its new UK home

Hit US show Parks and Recreation has a new home on UK's number one non-PSB channel, Dave. The hilarious ensemble comedy will launch on Dave this Summer and stars Hollywood A-listers Amy Poehler (Saturday Night Live), Rashida Jones (The Social Network), Aziz Ansari (Ice Age: Continental Drift), Nick Offerman (22 Jump Street), Aubrey Plaza (The To Do List), Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World), Adam Scott (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) and Rob Lowe (The West Wing, Brothers and Sisters).

The series deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution was brokered by UKTV's Head of Acquisitions, Alexandra Finlay, and includes Seasons 4 to 7 coming to Dave, as well as catch-up on UKTV's on-demand service, UKTV Play.

Alexandra Finlay, Head of Acquisitions for UKTV, says,

We're delighted to extend our partnership with NBCUniversal on this deal. As an award-winning comedy with a superb cast, Parks and Recreation is a fantastic addition to Dave's scripted acquisition slate.

Steve North, General Manager for Dave added,

Parks and Recreation feels like it was written for Dave; the wit and humour fits perfectly on the channel and will be a great addition to the slate, sitting alongside Suits which we are bringing closer to the US TX.

The award-winning comedy series sees Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and her trusty group of office mates followed around by a documentary crew, offering a quirky look into their everyday lives at the Parks and Recreation department in Pawnee, Indiana. Leslie's passion for Pawnee and her never-ending efforts to better the department make for some comical situations. Season 4 picks up with Leslie running for city council while Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) has his hands full with the women in his life. Meanwhile, the rest of the clan is left to deal with the everyday toils of office romances and politics.

And if that isn't enough, Dave audiences loved Suits so much that Season 5 is moving closer to the series' US airdate this summer - this means that UK fans won't have to wait long to find out what happened after Season 4's epic finale.

NOTE TO EDITORS

Dave will air Parks and Recreation Seasons 4 and 5 from Monday 27th July with Seasons 6 and 7 following in Summer 2016. Amy Poehler & Chris Pratt are not available for press, all other talent are available on a case by case basis.

Suits Season 5 will start on Dave in August, exact date TBC. All cast available for interview on a case by case basis.
