Dave dares more comedians to drive on the World’s Most Dangerous Roads

UKTV today announces that World's Most Dangerous Roads (8x60') is returning to Dave and UKTV Play for a second series. Following the success of the first series, which aired earlier this year, the new series will see a whole new batch of comedy pairings set off on a daring journey to navigate some of the most treacherous roads around the world.

Series 1, which is available to catch up on UKTV Play, followed the likes of Lou Sanders, Ed Gamble, Phil Wang, Stephen Mangan, Lara Ricote, Keith Lemon, Darren Harriott and more as they drove along the most challenging routes in countries such as Albania, Iceland and Australia. The first series reached an average audience of 654k individuals per episode, peaking with 848k individuals for Joe Wilkinson and Zoe Lyon's off-road adventure. Across all outings on Dave to date, World's Most Dangerous Roads series one has reached over 4.1m individuals.

Some of the comedy pairings taking on World's Most Dangerous Roads in series two include Jamali Maddix and Larry Dean heading to the dramatic landscapes of Bhutan, and Rhod Gilbert and Angela Barnes are off to Italy.

World's Most Dangerous Roads is produced by Ricochet, commissioned for UKTV by Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning and ordered for Dave by Cherie Cunningham, channel director. World's Most Dangerous Roads is exec produced by Natalie Wilkinson and series producer is Sean McDonnell.

Hilary Rosen said: "I am so excited to be working with Ricochet to bring World's Most Dangerous Roads back for a second series. I love this show because some of the pairings are friends and some have never met before, so it offers up a hilarious insight into their relationships all while keeping you on the edge of your seat!"

Cherie Hall added: "World's Most Dangerous Roads thrilling format proved a hit with Dave viewers, it perfectly combines elements of travel, comedy and adventure and I can't wait for more!"

World's Most Dangerous Roads will air on Dave later this year. Catch up on the first series on UKTV Play now. The series is the latest recommission for the channel following the recently announced fourth series of Big Zuu's Big Eats and a third outing for David Mitchell's Outsiders.
