23rd September 2026, London: Guy Martin returns to free streaming service U (u.co.uk) and U&Dave for a third series of Guy Martin’s Proper Jobs (4x60’), once again produced by North One. The series is now in production and will air early next year. Series one was nominated for Broadcast Digital’s Best Popular Factual Programme at 2025’s Broadcast Digital Awards and series two is the number one unscripted commission on U&Dave this year.

For this new series Guy will be taking on his biggest work challenges to date. He'll work for the East Anglian Air Ambulance as part of their elite critical care team, on call to respond in minutes to life-threatening incidents. He’ll also head to Hull to work on a giant vessel in a ship repair yard, become a lumberjack in the remote forests of the Scottish Borders, and train with the armed officers of the specialist Civil Nuclear Constabulary to help protect the nuclear site at Sellafield in Cumbria. 

Guy Martin says, “As far as I'm concerned, if it makes you sweat or it can kill you, then it's a Proper Job. I love learning about the work, and I love getting to meet the grafters that actually do the work. A few folk who watched the last series have got in touch and invited me down to work with them for this one, so yeah, I can't wait to get stuck in."

Guy Martin’s Proper Jobs is commissioned for UKTV by Emile Nawagamuwa, commissioning editor, and Helen Nightingale, head of factual and factual entertainment, and ordered by Gerald Casey, director of programming, unscripted, and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning. Executive producerforNorth One is Steve Gowans, and series producers / directors are Ewan Keil and James Woodroffe.
