Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable renewed for a fourth series with Mel Giedroyc and Lou Sanders at the helm

Award-winning UKTV Original series Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable (8x60'), hosted by Mel Giedroyc and devious deputy Lou Sanders, will return for a fourth series on Dave and free streaming service UKTV Play. Produced by Expectation, the format welcomes a new line up of famous faces ready to tell their terrible truths.

For the first time ever, Lou Sanders will be traversing the nation to seek confessions and the most jaw-dropping revelations. Additionally, celebrity guests will be spilling more beans than ever with brand-new games in the studio leading to even more scandalous stories.

Mel Giedroyc said, Four series in, who'd have thought, and I'm frankly a quiver with excitement to be returning to this magnificent programme. Our celebrities sordid and hilarious confessions are even more jaw-dropping than ever, thank goodness showbusiness remains a bottomless, fetid pit of dysfunctionality that just keeps on giving, much to the delight of myself, Lou and most importantly the viewers.
Lou Sanders said: I'm beside myself with excitement. I get to work with Doctor Sunshine herself! We've got loads of new, spectacularly stupid things planned. I think the show gets better each series and we are ready to go!

Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable received Best Entertainment show at the Broadcast Digital Awards for its debut series in 2021. Previous series have included Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Graham Norton, Katherine Ryan, Jennifer Saunders, Rosie Jones, Munya Chawawa. Charlotte Church, Craig Revel Horwood, Dermot O'Leary, Lethal Bizzle, Guz Khan, Meera Syal and many more disclosing their inner most malevolent misdeeds.

Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable has been commissioned for UKTV by Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning and ordered for Dave by Cherie Hall, channel director. Ben Wicks and Dom Wells-Martin are the executive producers for Expectation, with Series Producer Jo Maney. Jason Dawson is executive producer for UKTV.

Hilary Rosen said, Collaborating with Mel and Lou on Unforgivable is always an absolute joy, and I'm thrilled this title is returning to Dave. Get ready for even more sensational and jaw-dropping Celebrity revelations.
Cherie Hall said, Mel and Lou showcase year after year their strength as a comedic duo and find new ways to make me cry with laughter. No one gets a shameful secret out of a celebrity like those two, and series four is really set to take things to the next level.
Ben Wicks, Creative Director, Entertainment for Expectation said, Thrilled Mel and Lou are back. Their ability to wheedle out hilarious yet shocking truths from celebrities outclasses that of the Metropolitan Police (not hard). Which is why it's tremendous that Lou is being sent out into the nation to find wrong'uns wherever they lurk - Britain's least likely yet funniest emergency service."

Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable is the latest UKTV Original series for recommission, following the announcement of a fourth series for BAFTA-winning series Big Zuu's Big Eats (airing later this month) and a third series of Outsiders, returning in October. The news also follows announcement of brand new UKTV Original series Battle in the Box, hosted by Jimmy Carr.

Catch up on the first three series of Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable on UKTV Play. Series four will air next year on Dave and UKTV Play.
