Sheldon Nichols and Will Trickett to find and prepare more classic cars for budget conscious would-be owners from Wiser Films

UKTV have recommissioned the classic car series, Dream Car Fixers (6x60’) for a third series for leading factual channelU&YESTERDAY and free streaming service, U. The series is produced by Wiser Films.

The programme follows mechanic and classic car enthusiast Sheldon Nichols as he tries to find his clients’ dream cars within their tight budgets. Be-it a feisty little Fiat or a classic Capri, Sheldon has his nose to the ground and always manages to find something close to what they are looking for. But without bags of cash to play with there’s always work to do to get the cars ready for the road. This series Will Trickett (Flipping Bangers), who helped on some jobs in the previous series, will step up to be Sheldon’s new partner and turn potential nightmare buys into people’s dream cars.

Sheldon Nichols said, “It’s great to be back for Dream Car Fixers. I know there’s people out there who want a particular classic car, but either can’t find it or think it’s out of reach. We can help, and I love helping people. Seeing people’s faces when they see their new car for the first time is amazing.

Dream Car Fixers has been commissioned for UKTV by Commissioning Editor, Emile Nawagamuwa with Helen Nightingale, Head of Factual and Factual Entertainment, and ordered for U&YESTERDAY by Director of Programming, Factual & Factual Entertainment, Adam Collings and Director of Commissioning, Hilary Rosen. Executive Producer for Wiser Films is Tas Brooker, Series Producer is Dom Bowles, and Series Director is John Stirling.

UKTV’s Emile Nawagamuwa said: “I’m so proud of what Wiser Films and Sheldon have already achieved, they have truly captured the hearts and minds of the classic car community. With Will stepping up alongside Sheldon and bringing his unique brand of maverick invention to the workshop, I have no doubts this beloved series will continue to grow to new heights.”

Wiser Films’ Tas Brooker added: “We’re really excited to get a third series of Dream Car Fixers. It’s a great show with a great team of people on it and we really appreciate the faith UKTV have shown in us.”

Adam Collings added: “I’m proud we’ve got more Dream Car Fixers coming. We’re going to need a new garage to store all our classic car content! We know our viewers love their classics and the stories around them. It’s fascinating to see what cars people want and why they want them, and the work and passion that Sheldon and the team put in to get them for them is a joy.”

The third series of Dream Car Fixersis in production now and Wiser Films are actively looking for potential contributors who are over 18 years old and are searching for their dream, pre-1990 classic car to take part and appear in the series. To apply, people can email: applications@wiserfilms.co.uk.
