Will & Ralf Should Know Better recommissioned for a third series for U

The beloved duo are back with big challenges and even bigger laughs as they discover if you’re ever truly too old to try something new.

Previous praise for Will & Ralf Should Know Better includes:

  • 4**** from Daily Mail Weekend, TV Times and Mail on Sunday
  • Radio Times - “as always with this engaging series, blokey banter leads to some serious and inspiring moments”
  • The Sun - “a ramped-up, younger version [of Gone Fishing] but the friendship is just as tender"
  • The Herald - “laughter packed”
  • Inside Soap - “very funny”

10th September 2026: Will Mellor and Ralf Little are set to return to U (u.co.uk) and U&Dave for a third series of the Broadcast Digital Awards and RTS Northen Ireland Awards-nominated Will & Ralf Should Know Better(4x60'), as the lifelong friends embark on their most personal journey yet.

Produced by Afro-Mic Productions in co-production with Our Kid Productions, the new series sees Will and Ralf explore identity, friendship and belonging in modern Britain.

With Will settling into life at 50, the pair turn the spotlight on themselves, examining what has shaped them, how they're changing and what continues to connect them after more than two decades of friendship. Along the way, they'll uncover surprising insights into their personalities, discovering how differently two close friends can see the world.

Through expert insights, immersive experiences and their trademark honesty, Will and Ralf explore community and tradition while meeting remarkable people and taking on challenges that push them far beyond their comfort zones. From celebrating unique British customs to stepping into unfamiliar worlds, they embrace new experiences and see life from unexpected angles.

Their adventures this series include joining a stereotype defying female punk band on stage, learning self-defence, attempting the deepest sleep in the world, flood rescue training, mastering the art of erotic writing and so much more. Funny, thoughtful and unpredictable in equal measure, the series proves that adventure doesn't have an age limit.

Will Mellor said: "I’m absolutely buzzing to be making a third series! Turning 50 has definitely got me thinking a bit more about who I am and where I'm heading, so it feels like the right me for me and Ralf to take a closer look at how we’re wired. Whether we actually find any answers is another matter, but I know we'll have a laugh trying."

Ralf Little said: "After more than twenty years of friendship, you'd think we'd know everything about each other by now, but series three might prove otherwise! I'm really looking forward to seeing what we discover, and what we wish we'd never uncovered."

Will and Ralf Should Know Better is commissioned for UKTV by Jason Dawson, Commissioning Executive and Helen Nightingale, Head of Factual and Factual Entertainment. The series is ordered for U and U&Dave by Gerald Casey, Director of Programming, Unscripted, and Hilary Rosen, Director of Commissioning. Alison Foster is the Executive Producer, with Sheila Risk and Tommy Forbes serving as series producer and series director respectively.

Alison Foster said: “It’s an absolute privilege to be back on the road with Will and Ralf. In this series, they're pushing themselves out of their middle-aged comfort zones with even more poignant, thought-provoking and personally-challenging adventures. Expect plenty more of their trademark shrieking, laughing, joking and winding each other up, alongside the emotional honesty that makes theirs such a special friendship."

Sabrina Ferro, Production Executive at Afro-Mic said: “It’s a real joy to be back for a third series. Having worked so closely on the show from the beginning, one of the loveliest things has been watching Will and Ralf’s friendship continue to grow and seeing how much they still manage to surprise each other. There’s so much warmth, laughter and genuine affection between them, and it’s an absolute pleasure for all of us on the production team to help bring that to the screen.”

Jason Dawson said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing back one of Britain’s most beloved friendships for more hilarious and life affirming escapades. Will & Ralf continue to delight our audiences with their full-hearted and laughter packed interrogation of how to live a better life, and their willingness to scale new heights emotionally (and sometimes literally!) means we’re in for another belter of a series.”

Will & Ralf Should Know Better series three launches on U and and U&Dave in 2027.
