UKTV & Covid-19 FAQs

Is UKTV working remotely?

Yes we are currently working from home until further notice. The office is open for colleagues to work from the office if they want to, but its completely up to the individual.

Are there any plans to return to the office?

We are following government advice about returning to the office and can give you the latest information before/at your interview.

Is UKTV hiring during this period?

Yes, we are still recruiting for a variety of roles. Head over to our careers page to check out our latest vacancies.

Has UKTV moved to virtual hiring?

We are currently conducting our interview through zoom and if successful you will be on-boarded remotely.

What is the process for virtual interviews?

The process is still the same although unfortunately we can't give you a tour of the office! You will still be asked questions around your skills and experience, our values and diversity & inclusion. If you need us to make any adjustments for your interview please don't hesitate to let us know.

What happens if I have tech issues during my interview?

Don't worry these things happen, we will always try our best to resolve the issues and the talent team will ask for your number beforehand in case we need to call you. Before your interview you can always follow these tips to make the process as smooth as possible:

  • Find a quiet place with good lighting and a background that isn't too distracting.
  • Test your connection with the video link to ensure its strong enough and working properly.
  • Close all other browsers that may interfere with connection.

If hired, what is the process for virtual on-boarding?

HR will be in touch to organise your start date and to get all your technical equipment delivered to your address. You will have everything you need for you first day and all inductions and meet & greets will be done remotely.
