Bangers & Cash Live

Scampston Hall in North Yorkshire on Saturday 12th August and Sunday 13th August to also be the first time public can view a Mathewsons auction since February 2020

Wednesday 24th May 2023

A new live event will give fans the chance to get closer to the world of Bangers & Cash. The hit UKTV Original series follows the work of Mathewsons, a family-run classic car auction house. Bangers & Cash Live will take place on Saturday 12th August and Sunday 13th August at Scampston Hall in Malton, North Yorkshire - just a few miles from Mathewsons' Thornton-le-Dale HQ. Tickets will be available to buy via Eventbrite from Friday 26th May at 9am.

Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Derek, Dave, Paul and the Bangers & Cash crew in a series of live Q&As. There will be a chance to admire some of the cars and bikes that have appeared in previous and future episodes of the series, as well as the pride and joys from classic car clubs from the local area and beyond, and to see some of the prized vehicles in the Mathewsons' personal vehicle collections. Also, for the first time since the start of the pandemic in 2020, visitors to Bangers & Cash Live will be able to see a Mathewsons auction, with Derek himself putting several selected vehicles and memorabilia lots under the hammer.

The family-friendly festival will also have a host of entertainment including guest speakers, live music, a range of activities for children, and an abundance of food and drink on sale from some of the best local suppliers.

Tickets are just £15 (plus booking fee) for adults and £5 for Under 16s (plus booking fee) per day and go on sale on at 9am Friday 26th May. Under 5s tickets are free. Full event details are online at: https://bangersandcashlive.co.uk.

Derek Mathewson said,

I can't wait for Bangers & Cash Live! I'm always hearing how much the show means to people so it's nice to be able to do something like this in person. We used to do our auctions in the village hall, and then since Covid we've only done them on the internet, but now we'll do one in front of a several thousand people - unbelievable really! I'm also pleased that we can do this just up the road from us at Scampston and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and all the vehicles and so on there.

Bangers & Cash and spin-off sister show, Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics have both proved a hit with Yesterday and UKTV Play viewers. Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics continues on Thursdays at 8pm. A new series of Bangers & Cash will follow later this year, and all episodes of both series continue to be available to stream for free on UKTV Play.
