UKTV restores Find It, Fix It, Flog It to TV screens with new double series peak commission

Find It, Fix It, Flog It

Thursday 9th November 2023

UKTV has commissioned two new series of Find It, Fix It, Flog It (2x10x60') for leading factual channel Yesterday and free streaming service, UKTV Play.

The new series will be fronted by Henry Cole and Simon O'Brien, who will both return to rummage through the UK's sheds, barns and garages exploring the unique items and personal curios buried inside. After some creative thinking, a lot of elbow grease and expert assistance from restorer Gemma and mechanic Allen, the selected items are fixed up and sold, with the help of expert valuer Ronnie Archer Morgan, hopefully with a profit for the items' owners.

Find It, Fix It, Flog It, which had been previously commissioned by Channel 4 for seven series, has been commissioned for UKTV by head of factual and factual entertainment Helen Nightingale, and ordered by Gerald Casey, channel director for Yesterday and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning. The new series will be produced by HCA Entertainment. The executive producer is Hamish Rieck, with head of production Ben Tinsley, series director Matt Knight and series producer Mark Ashton. The series is an RTS Award-winner and has a loyal following of viewers who will be delighted to see new episodes of the programme being made.

Find It, Fix It, Flog It presenter and HCA Entertainment founder and CEO, Henry Cole said,

We've always admired UKTV's output, and we're privileged to now be a part of their journey.

Yesterday's channel director, Gerald Casey, commented,

As a long-time admirer of Find It, Fix It, Flog It, I'm really pleased that we can bring the show to Yesterday. It's a privilege to give Henry, Simon and the rest of the crew a home so they can continue to showcase their amazing skills and ideas when transforming things sitting in people's sheds and garages into cash.

Helen Nightingale, UKTV head of factual and factual entertainment, said,

To be honest, we didn't have to work hard to find it, it definitely doesn't need fixing, and the successful format and brilliant talent helped to easily flog the show to us. We are hugely excited to work with HCA Entertainment on this, so much so we've commissioned two series in one go.

Hamish Rieck, executive producer at HCA Entertainment said,

We are all enormously grateful to everyone at UKTV for giving us the opportunity to make more episodes of Find It, Fix It, Flog It. We can't wait to get started and see what amazing ideas Henry, Simon and the workshop teams have up their sleeves when it comes to breathing new life into the stuff they find tucked away in people's sheds.

Find It, Fix It, Flog It is in production now and will air in a peak time slot in 2024 on UKTV's free-to-air Yesterday channel and will be available on demand on UKTV Play. It will join a raft of original programming, including the recently announced new series of Canal Boat Diaries, Bangers & Cash, Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics and Classic Car Hunters (w/t).
