Brand new scripted legal drama Reckless comes to Alibi in 2015

UKTV has today announced the acquisition of the hit US legal drama Reckless, from CBS Studios International. The series (13 x 60?) will premiere exclusively in the UK on Alibi ? TV?s home of the best crime drama.

The sultry legal series set in Charleston, South Carolina features a star-studded cast including Anna Wood (Chronicle, Mad Men), Cam Gigandet (The Twilight Saga, The O.C.), Shawn Hatosy (Southland, Body of Proof, Dexter), Georgina Haig (Fringe), Kim Wayans (Pariah, In Living Color), Michael Gladis (Mad Men), with Gregory Harrison (One Tree Hill, Safe Harbor) and Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami, Magic Mike). Produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Sander/Moses Productions, executive producers include Dana Stevens, Kim Moses, Ian Sander and Corey Miller.

Reckless sees ballsy and beautiful Yankee litigator Jamie Sawyer (Anna Wood) pitted against the ever charming Southern attorney Roy Rayder (Cam Gigandet) as they try to hide the obvious sexual tension bubbling between them, whilst a police sex scandal threatens to tear the city apart. As Jamie and Roy spar in and out of the courtroom, dark secrets simmer behind every door and threaten to tarnish the genteel façade of seductive Charleston.

Catherine Mackin, Director of Programme Acquisitions, UKTV, who brokered the deal commented,

I?m very excited to be working with CBS on such a fantastic new show that fizzes along at breakneck speed. Reckless is exactly the type of series we?ve been looking to add to the Alibi slate.

Stephen Tague, Senior Vice President, Europe, CBS Studios International, said,

We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship and remain committed to providing UKTV with high-quality broadcast series to all parts of their schedules.

Alibi?s General Manager, Adrian Wills added

Reckless will sit perfectly next to Alibi?s other big US premiere series. With two charismatic lead characters it has the right amount of ?will they, won?t they?? and a healthy dose of procedural crime drama and a brilliant cast, which Alibi fans will know and love.

Alibi is up 13% year on year with its raft of new premium US content including Castle, Murdoch Mysteries, King and Maxwell and Rizolli & Isles, reaching over five million adults every month. Also coming to the channel this year, exclusively from the BBC are hit programmes Death in Paradise and the third series of Luther.
