UKTV, the media company that reaches over 42 million viewers per month, has today launched its first dynamic infographic microsite to coincide with the premiere of Gold?s first original sitcom You, Me & Them.
The microsite, which presents facts, figures and surprising insights into twenty-first century family life in the UK using data submitted by viewers, has been uniquely designed for Gold, home to Britain's best loved comedy and sitcoms.
Providing an innovative platform for viewers to contribute their own opinions and experiences of family life, the infographic focuses on the topics covered in the brand new six-part scripted comedy series. You, Me & Them (TX October 23, 9pm) centres on the family life of a couple, Ed (Anthony Head) and Lauren (Eve Myles), who are madly in love, despite their 20 plus-year age gap. They seem to be the perfect couple, but have a nightmare family.
Every week, an infographic reflecting the comedic storylines in each new episode invites the viewing community to vote in polls, as well as write their own personal anecdotes, which are moderated and posted on the site for others to browse.
Social analytics show viewers are highly engaged while watching their favourite Gold shows and actively participate in online conversation. Research carried out for UKTV revealed 86.1% of the Gold audience go online daily, with the majority browsing via a desktop or laptop computer.

The microsite was devised and developed by Initials Marketing and will remain live after the series has aired.
You, Me & Them is the latest in a line of successful series of original programming for Gold, as UKTV continues its commitment to investment in new content. Exclusive commission The Two Ronnies Spectacle has peaked with 351k (part-consolidated), which is +195% on slot average, since it premiered on the channel in September. High viewer volumes for home-grown content have helped boost Gold?s weekday peak (1900-2259) viewing, with average volume up +9% year-on-year.
