UKTV staff given a day off thanks to viewing uplift

All of UKTV's staff received a note from CEO Darren Childs this week giving them an extra day's holiday in recognition of predicted end-of-year viewing rises across 2015.

The broadcaster looks set to celebrate a record-breaking 12 months, with official forecasts suggesting UKTV will smash its share of commercial impacts (SOCI) target for 2014.

Childs attributed the company's success entirely to the hard work and commitment of staff saying:
