  • From today, Sky TV customers can catch up on UKTV's pay entertainment channels Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi

  • Customers can now watch the best of UKTV's entertainment channels On Demand wherever and whenever with their connected Sky+HD box or Sky Go

  • This is UKTV's first ever Pay TV channel catch up service

UKTV's debut deal to provide Pay TV catch up services for its popular entertainment channels Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi was further extended today joining Sky's On Demand service; the UK's biggest Catch Up TV service. The news follows the launch of catch up services for Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi on Sky Go last year, meaning Sky TV customers can access UKTV's entertainment shows like Dynamo: Magician Impossible and Dave Gorman's Modern Life Is Goodish on their TV or on a multitude of devices, whenever and wherever they like.

The award-winning multi-channel broadcaster announced the extension of its long term partnership with Sky in October, in a landmark deal that sees its Pay TV channels made available across all Sky TV products. Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi are the first channels from UKTV's portfolio to launch catch up services, allowing Sky customers to view UKTV shows they may have missed.

Sky customers can also look forward to TV Box Sets from UKTV's best-loved shows, with hit series such as Red Dwarf X, Murdoch Mysteries and Boston's Finest available in the coming weeks.

Keith Porritt, Executive Director Commercial, said

'The popularity of our channels has never been higher and we are committed to enabling viewers to watch our award-winning content whenever and wherever they like. Our agreement with Sky to provide catch up services for Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi on Sky Go and now on connected Sky+HD boxes is UKTV's first pay TV catch up deal. It is an important milestone in our continued drive to put our viewers at the heart of everything we do.'

Luke Bradley-Jones, Sky's Brand Director of TV Products, commented:

'Watch, Gold, Dave and Alibi today join the UK's biggest Catch Up TV service - offering customers content from 60 channels to watch when it suits them. It's all part of our continued commitment to provide our customers with a great TV experience whenever and wherever they want it, all at no extra cost.'

UKTV's channels currently reach over 42 million viewers a month and the network's recent announcement of £110 million investment in programming has resulted in a raft of new programming, including innovative commissioned content and bold acquisitions. Recent highlights include watch's new take on magic in The Happenings, never seen before footage and interviews with friends of the famous duo and Ronnie Corbett himself, in The Two Ronnies Spectacle on Gold, and Ross Noble bowing down to his Twitter followers in Ross Noble Freewheeling on Dave.
