15 December 2020

Following his series one debut, grime artist and self-taught chef, Big Zuu, will be serving up a fresh menu for a brand new star-studded line-up of guests for series two of Big Zuu's Big Eats.

Zuu will fire up his food truck again, this time churning out finger-licking food for Harry Redknapp, Jacob Anderson, James Acaster, Judi Love, Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan, Mel Giedroyc, Natasia Demetriou, Rob Delaney and Rose Matafeo over the course of the new series, which will air on Dave in 2021.

Produced by Boom, part of ITV Studios for UKTV's award-winning entertainment channel, Dave, Big Zuu's Big Eats follows the grime artist and TV chef take his passion for cooking on the road, meeting with stars and exchanging mouth-watering, made-to-order dishes for compelling chat. Each episode will see school friends Tubsey and Hyder join Zuu and the stars for big flavours and big laughs.

I'm so gassed to be releasing a second series of Big Eats in 2021. To be cooking for some of the biggest names in music, sport and television, alongside my boys Tubsey and Hyder again is an amazing feeling. 2020 has been such a difficult year for everyone so hopefully the second series will bring some guaranteed happiness to 2021.

Hugely popular amongst 16-34's, series one saw Big Zuu prepare mouth-watering, made-to-order dishes for the likes of Jamali Maddix, Jimmy Carr, Josh Widdicombe and London Hughes. The first series averaged an outstanding 16-34 profile of 55% - one of the strongest ever 16-34 profiles of a UKTV Original on Dave. To date, the show has reached over 2.3m individuals (4+) and over half a million 16-34s (571k).

Big Zuu is also back on Dave this December and cooking up not one but two Christmas Specials from his famous food truck. Once again, he and his boys, Tubsey and Hyder, are hitting the road to put on a festive feast for some very special guests. For the Big Zuu's Christmas Eats: Comedy Special, Zuu will be reuniting with some of his favourite guests from Series one - Phil Wang, Rosie Jones, Desiree Burch and Ed Gamble, airing on 18 December at 10pm on Dave.

You can catch-up on Big Zuu's Christmas Eats: Musicians Special on UKTV Play now, which features Zuu cooking for some of the best known artists in the UK, including AJ Tracey and Loyle Carner.

Big Zuu's Big Eats series two will air on Dave in Spring 2021. The first series can be enjoyed on UKTV Play.

Big Zuu's Big Eats was commissioned by Natalie Rose, UKTV commissioning editor, and ordered for Dave by Luke Hales, Dave channel director. Richard Watsham is UKTV's director of commissioning and Steve North is genre manager, comedy and entertainment. Executive producer for Boom is Sam Grace. Boom is part of ITV Studios.

Ever since it was knee high to a TV remote, Dave had an idea. It wanted to be the first place viewers would come for brand-new, award-winning entertainment from the biggest and brightest stars and production companies in the UK. And in the years since, it has launched some of the most exciting and best-loved titles on TV. There are names like BAFTA and Emmy-nominated Taskmaster - now in its ninth series -, Judge Romesh, Hypothetical, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier and Comedians Giving Lectures. And of course there's Dave Gorman, whose inquisitive mind is returning to the channel for Terms and Conditions Apply. It's not just in front of the camera where the comic genius lies either, with a wealth of scripted treasure such as Sliced, Porters and the globally popular Red Dwarf.

Dave's not content just to make you laugh and share gags with your mates though. Expedition with Steve Backshall and Hurricane Man are showing you regions and aspects of the earth never before seen on TV. Red Bull Soapbox continues to delight with its boundless capacity for invention. And stepping away from the TV entirely, Dave's partnered with CALM to launch the "Be The Mate You'd Want" campaign and the "Conversations Against Living Miserably" podcast.

Reaching 20million viewers a month, Dave's come a long way, but it's only just getting warmed up.
