John Bishop: in Conversation With… returns for a fourth series in 2018.

Thursday 23rd November 2017

UKTV's premium entertainment channel W has ordered a fourth series of critically-acclaimed John Bishop: In Conversation With... (10x60').

The show, which concludes tonight with guest Jeremy Corbyn, is produced by Lola Entertainment and distributed by BBC Worldwide. John has been praised for his amiable approach to the intimate conversations and his interview with Jeremy Corbyn is no different. The Leader of the Labour Party opens up for an absorbing discussion about his life and his politics, including his thoughts on Trump, the investigation into the war in Iraq, and the death of his brother.

John Bishop said,

In Conversation With... has been a joy for me to be involved with. The team have worked hard to produce shows that allow each guest time to tell the story of their journey and how they found themselves to be sat in a chair opposite me having a conversation. I would find it impossible to pick a favourite because each show is, like each guest, unique. I'm delighted to be making a fourth series and I'm grateful that UKTV and W continue to support me and the show."

John Bishop has sat down with some of the biggest names in the world of sport, music and entertainment throughout the three series including; James Corden, Lindsay Lohan, Rupert Everett, Sir Lenny Henry, Anna Friel, Steve Coogan, Ken Loach, Melanie C, Craig Charles, Professor Brian Cox and Russell Brand.

Adam Collings, W's channel director, added, "I'm delighted we are extending W's relationship with John for another ten conversations. John's open and welcoming style will continue to unearth fascinating stories and personal moments with the next collection of amazing guests."

John Bishop: In Conversation With... has been ordered by Steve North, Genre General Manager for comedy and entertainment and commissioned by Richard Watsham, Director of Commissioning at UKTV. Hilary Rosen with John Bishop and Lisa Thomas are executive producers for UKTV and Lola Entertainment respectively.

W continues to enjoy success with its UKTV Original series including recent returns of Dr Christian Will See You Now and Inside the Ambulance. The channel also recently announced brand new UKTV Original The Wave fronted by Rylan Clark-Neal and Olympic open water swimmer Keri-Anne Payne, which will air early 2018.
