Following Emily Atack's meteoric rise to stardom since leaving the jungle, UKTV has ordered documentary series Emily Atack: Adulting (4x60) for its premium entertainment channel W.

Emily Atack said:

It is an absolute joy to be asked to film this follow-doc. Adulting will cover some topics that I, as a young woman, constantly think and worry about so I hope others find it relatable, and funny! I'm on a little exploration to find the answers to some common questions before I turn thirty - I'm excited!

Produced by Firecracker Films, Emily Atack: Adulting is a warm and comedic observational documentary about the rise and rise of last year's Jungle Princess. The series follows Emily as she tries to answer the big life questions looming over her and the pressure she feels as she approaches turning thirty.

Funny and moving, with access all areas to Emily's life and social media, Emily Atack: Adulting provides an authentic voice for the modern-day woman in a traditional society. Each episode poses a question based on parenthood, dating and body image, which Emily will attempt to answer with the help of friends, family, her social network and beyond.

The series is commissioned by senior commissioning editor Helen Nightingale with Hilary Rosen, deputy director of commissioning. Helen will executive produce for UKTV, and the series is ordered for W by Richard Watsham, UKTV's director of commissioning and Steve North, UKTV's genre general manager. The show will be executive produced by Firecracker Films' Head of Factual Entertainment Federico Ruiz and Chief Creative Officer Jes Wilkins, with Joe Ward as Series Editor.

It's fair to say we all fell in love with Emily while watching her in the jungle. And I'm excited that she's prepared to bare all and answer life's biggest questions for us. A funny and relatable woman who is not afraid to show her vulnerability is exactly the kind of aspirational person we love on W.

Adam Collings, W channel director added:

Emily is a perfect fit for W and her inimitable style makes her must-see for our viewers who can hopefully relate to her on a very genuine level. I'm incredibly proud of the great series we've made for the channel with some of the UK's biggest names including Emma Willis, Cherry Healey and Dr. Christian so to add Emily to that list alongside Stacey Dooley's series this summer is very exciting.

Federico Ruiz, Head of Factual Entertainment, Firecracker Films, added:

We are beyond excited to be working with the talented rising star that is Emily and to be teaming up once again with the fantastic team at W. The show is tailored to Emily's unique personality and will see her embark on a deeply personal journey with humour, emotion and plenty of rosé along the way. Working with top talent is Firecracker's area of expertise and we are looking forward to boosting the great celeb line-up on W this summer.

The new commission follows W's success with female-led series on the channel including Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, the highest rating show in 2018. The second series returns later this year, along with brand new UKTV Original Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over. Both series are produced for W by Firecracker Films.
