Multi-award-winning network UKTV has commissioned a brand-new series, The Wedding Fixer (6x60'), for its premium entertainment channel, W.

The UKTV Original series is produced by Little Gem and follows one of the most highly respected wedding planners in the world, Sarah Haywood, as she battles to get couples weddings back on track amidst wedding day turmoil. Whether they've blown the budget bridezilla style, or the wedding dress company has suddenly gone bust, no-nonsense Sarah never knowingly holds back when it comes to telling everyone how things are meant to be done! Sarah will be there every step of the way to make their special day one to remember, for all the right reasons.

Along the way, Sarah will be pulling out her little black book full of experts and know how, as well as using her laser like focus and direct approach to resolve each couples' dilemma. Sarah's multi-million-pound luxury wedding planning business has covered weddings great and small, from the no-expense-spared events for her celebrity clients, through to the more intimate set ups, making her uniquely equipped to tackle whatever the couples send her way.

The Wedding Fixer is commissioned for UKTV by Kirsty Hanson, commissioning editor, with Hilary Rosen, head of factual and factual entertainment. It was ordered by Richard Watsham, director of commissioning, and Steve North, genre general manager for comedy and entertainment. The series is executive produced by Kurt Seywald and Ben Gale for Little Gem, Hanson for UKTV, and will be distributed by all3media international.

Kirsty Hanson said:

We are incredibly excited to be working with the combination of Little Gem and Sarah Haywood who is not only a stand-out big, feisty character, but has unrivalled expertise when it comes to all things wedding!

Adam Collings, channel director for W, said:

This UKTV Original series is a brilliant look at the highs and lows of wedding planning; introducing force of nature, Sarah Haywood, to help couples avoid making mistakes they might regret forever. We can't wait to see the drama ensue!

Kurt Seywald, executive producer for Little Gem, said:

We are very excited to be working with someone of Sarah Haywood's calibre and expertise to help anxious couples across the nation realize their ultimate wedding dreams.

Maartje Horchner, EVP Content at all3media international added:

It's always a pleasure to work with UKTV and we are delighted to be partnering with Little Gem for the first time on this show that has strong appeal as both a tape and format proposition in the international marketplace.

The Wedding Fixer joins a growing list of UKTV Original shows coming to W this year, including Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over and a second-series of the ratings success Emma Willis: Delivering Babies.

The Wedding Fixer will air on W later this year.
